I. FEATURES:
IMO MSC. 1/CirC. 1327 identifies the requirements to use Fall Preventer Devices (FPDs) as considering an interim risk mitigation measure. FPDs connect with existing on-load release hooks for enhancing safety features.
Our FPDs are designed to meet China Classification Society regulation and approval, and fully compliant with IMO MSC. 1/CirC. 1327 &1392&1466.
We provide the high quality FPDs, and our FPDs combine the benefits of slings and strops together. It is the new solution and evolution for lifeboat maintenance, inspections and drills.
II. SPECIFICATIONS:
Our product, FPDs(Size of rope: Diameter 18-24mm x length 0.9-1.5m) is composed of:
(1)12 strand UHMWPE SK75 rope, SWL5tons, MWL 30tons;
(2)SS304 hard material eyes fitted with screw pin shackles both ends;
(3)Shackle size: 7/8" SWL6.5T.
III. WARRANTY:
Warranty period for 12months from date of purchase except damage caused by misuse or vandalism or disasters, and not by ordinary wear and tear.
IV. FPD INSTRUCTION / INSTALLATION MANUAL:
1. Launching action:
Wile the lifeboat is in its stowed position, connect FPDs correctly by the following step:
(1) Connect one end of FPDs to the first connecting link or block swivel using 6.5tons shackle;
(2) Connect the other end of FPDs to the hanging-off point on the hook;
Continue to launch lifeboat to water, ensure to remove FPDs before releasing the hook.
2. Recovery action:
Manoeuvre the lifeboat into position below fall and put the main lifting link into the hook.
Before hoisting the boat, the FPDs must be rigged by:
(3) Connect one end of FPDs to the first connecting link or block swivel using 6.5tons shackle;
(4) Connect the other end of FPDs to the hanging-off point on the hook;
Remove the FPDs when lifeboat is in its stowed position.
